Certifications that I currently hold.

Second Assistant Engineer


United States Coast Guard license of:

 Second Assistant Engineer, Unlimited Horse Power, Motor

Third Assistant Engineer, Unlimited Horse Power, Steam and Gas Turbine also 

Chief Engineer of Offshore Supply Vessels of no more than 4000 HP or 3000 gross tons (ITC) also Designated Duty Engineer of Motor Vessels of no more than 4000 HP.

I also hold all the additional paperwork required to perform my duties domestically and over-seas, MMD, TWIC, Passport

HSV Type Rating

The operation of high speed vessels (HSVs) require that the officers complete a comprehensive training program in order that they can more safety operate these high performance vessels.

I hold current HSV Type Ratings for HSV WestPac Express and HSV Alakai and Huakai (combined).

Standards of Training, Certification, and WatchStanding (STCW) '95

Hold a current STCW 95

EPA Universal Refrigerant Technichian

Able to work on any sized refrigeration system... except those found in cars.

Vessel Security Officer/ Company Security Officer (VSO/CSO)

Medical Person In Charge (Medical PIC)

I can fix you when you break.  Over the radio. With a doctor's permission.

MSC Small Arms Training

I attended and passed the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Three day small arms safety and qualifications.  I am certified to carry the 9mm pistol, 12 gauge shotgun and M-14/M1A Rifle.
